Six Stitch produces all major patch types in-house: embroidered, leather, rubber/PVC, sim stitch, printed, puff, and 3D. Every patch is available with iron-on, sew-on, Velcro, or adhesive backing. Custom shapes, die-cut edges, and merrowed borders are all standard options.

Our Process

HOW CUSTOM PATCHES ARE MADE

From your logo to a finished patch ready to apply — here's our patch production process at Six Stitch.

01

Choose Your Style

Tell us the patch type, shape, size, backing type, and quantity. We'll confirm what's possible and suggest what works best for your specific application.
02

Artwork & Proof

Submit your artwork file. We digitize or prepare it for the production method and send back a visual proof with shape, color, and detail mapped out for your approval.
03

Patch Production

Patches are produced in-house with the chosen method. Embroidered patches are stitched, leather patches are debossed or laser engraved, rubber patches are molded, and so on.
04

QC & Delivery

Every batch is inspected for consistency, color accuracy, and clean edges. Packed and shipped via UPS to your address anywhere in the US.

EVERY PATCH STYLE WE PRODUCE

Embroidered Patches

The classic patch — thread stitched onto a twill backing, available in any shape with merrowed, laser-cut, or die-cut edges. Ideal for jackets, hats, and uniforms.

Leather Patches

Genuine or faux leather patches with debossed logos — a premium option popular on hats, bag straps, and high-end apparel lines.

Rubber & PVC Patches

Molded rubber patches with a raised, 3D feel. Weatherproof and extremely durable — popular for outdoor gear, bags, and military-inspired apparel.

Sim Stitch Patches

Simulated stitch uses a photorealistic thread-like print to achieve detail impossible with standard embroidery — ideal for complex logos and photography.

Puff & 3D Patches

Foam backing under embroidery creates a raised, dimensional look. Extremely popular on structured hats and as a bold center-patch design element.

Printed Patches

Full-color digitally printed patches with a woven or sublimated finish — the right choice when your design has gradients, photographs, or too many colors for standard embroidery.

Frequently Asked Questions

CUSTOM PATCHES

FAQs

How long has Six Stitch Apparel been in business?

Six Stitch was founded in 2014 by Mark Loser out of his garage in Texas. We have been growing ever since and now operate full-service facilities in both Dallas, TX and Nashville, TN.

What types of custom patches do you make?

We produce embroidered, leather, rubber/PVC, simulated stitch, puff, 3D, and printed patches. Each type has different minimums, pricing, and best-use applications — contact us and we'll help you choose the right one.

What backing options are available?

We offer iron-on, sew-on, Velcro (hook and loop), and adhesive backing on most patch types. The right backing depends on how and where the patch will be applied.

What is the minimum order for custom patches?

Minimums vary by patch type. Embroidered patches typically start at 25–50 pieces. Rubber and PVC patches may have higher minimums due to mold costs. Contact us with your design and we'll give you exact minimums and pricing.

Can you make patches in custom shapes?

Yes — custom die-cut and laser-cut shapes are standard. We can match any outline as long as the design has enough border for structural integrity.

How do I apply iron-on patches?

Iron-on patches are applied using a household iron or heat press at around 300°F for 15–20 seconds with firm pressure. Heat press application gives a more permanent bond. We include application instructions with every iron-on order.

Can you apply the patches to garments for us?

Yes — we offer patch application as an add-on service. We can sew, iron, or press patches onto garments as part of your order so they arrive fully finished and ready to sell or distribute.
